The Chinese Formula 4 Championship opened on April 20 and 21 in Shanghai, with 27 MYGALE Generation 2 cars. This is a record number of participants for a single-seater Championship in China.

The first round of this Championship, which will count 18 races this season, took place as a support race to the Chinese Formula 1 Grand Prix. Both races took place in front of well-filled bleachers and spectators were able to watch great fights.
